
HOW DO YOU KNOW IF I'M THE RIGHT THERAPIST FOR YOU?
Your relationship with your therapist forms the foundation for the work, therefore your connection with your therapist has to feel right for you. For some, this will be evident immediately, while for others, it may take a few sessions. It has to feel like things “click” between you and your therapist in order for you to feel the trust, comfort and confidence necessary to gain the most benefit from the process.
Whatever I might say about how I would approach helping you—what my theoretical orientation is—won’t matter if we’re not a good match for each other. We can start that process with a consultation session to see if we can work well together. If the fit feels good, then we’re ready to move forward with whatever issues you’d like to address.
